In 2008, after spending 20 intense years in the Fashion industry I recognized the disconnect in the garment manufacturing supply chain between suppliers, buyers, and industry professionals so I created and launched SourceTheGlobe.com.
I registered Source the Globe Limited as a corporation in Hong Kong on September 18, 2008 and the full beta site launched in March 2009. SourceTheGlobe.com is an Online B2B global marketplace for garment manufacturing that bridges the gap between buyers, suppliers, and industry professionals by providing online tools for supplier management and intelligence, as well as an extensive search-able clothing related database. Users can also connect, communicate, invite, and save interest, inquiries to their workbook. In addition to the above users can also use the feedback, testimonial, association, and mart modules. Associations and Marts can post information about their company in multiple language as well as manage and promote their members and/or tenants, and testimonials via their listing on SourceTheGlobe.com. Users can connect and message the association, their members and/or tenants. New features are always being added.
It is now 2012 a year beyond my imagination… I spend my days working in an industry where I have 110% devotion. I work on my own projects creating custom (tailor, bespoke) clothing as well I have clients I help with Asia and China growth, management, operations, sourcing, production and trend strategies. I provide companies with intelligence and resources to create a future for unlimited growth, great returns, and domination in global business. Well being very considerate of the working conditions, ethics, and standards of the companies making the products.
I have another passion which is business, I enjoy successes, planning, plotting, looking for solutions to problems, and improving the quality of life for myself and others. I also like reading about others successes and strategies.

My business started with afrocentric clothing mostly for women but we have in the last 2 years gone into the home decor business producing bed sheets, cushions and the likes as we feel there is more opprtunity to grow in this industry in Nigeria.

Thanks for your response. I will be in Shanghai, Hong Kong, all over India and Indonesia. I’m looking for extremely small volumes (I’m a designer working on samples at the moment- so less than 20 skins). And if you in particular know of any naturally dyed&tanned leather suppliers that would be a bonus!

Noted you are looking for extremely low volumes as you are currently working on the sample collection. The largest area for leather that I know in China is Haining which is about 2.5 hours by train from Shanghai. As this is my business I can provide direct contacts in Shanghai, India, Indonesia and leather neighborhoods around Shanghai for a minimal cost, 25% of my regular cost as you are a new business. I am sure the contacts and neighborhoods will make for more of an efficient and effective trip. Let me know if you would like business assistance?

Hi Irfan,
I am unable to meet as it is China National Week holidays in China now and I am in North America on business. I will return to Shanghai on the 12th but will be traveling inside China until the 17th. Great for you to attend the Intertextile tradeshow that starts on October 18th through 21st. If unable to attend, for silk the best city is Hangzhou, I have not found allot of Silk suppliers in Keqiao, but the city is good for synthetics and basic fibers.
Alternatively you can send me your needs and I can try to assist you for a fee… Let me know if you have any additional needs?
